Three different prototypes:
On the left, a staircase made of wood
In the middle, a staircase made from recycled plastic
And on the right, a staircase made of cardboard and rubber
I made this staircase using recycled plastic and old bicycle valves. With the sewing machine and waterproof tape I was able to make three rectangular shapes. Together these three separate forms formed a whole.
In this prototype I started researching how to inflate a cube made out of this material. Because I had to find out if the material stayed hard long enough after inflating it.
